It is illegal to carry humans inside a moving trailer or caravan. You may transport animals, although it is not recommended that you do. Ensure you know what is and is not covered by the law before you set off onto the open road.
If you are using a passenger car with a GVW of less than 3.5 Tonnes then the maximum length of the trailer you can tow is 7m excluding the coupling a drawbar. You are unlikely to exceed this except in the most unusual circumstances.
