Many small recovery vehicles are just converted flat bed vans. If you intend to buy one, make sure the conversion has been undertaken professionaly and the suspension and brakes have been upgraded appropriately.
Most comprehensive insurance policies will cover your trailer 3rd party whilst it is being towed by your car, but not all will. It is your responsibility to contact your insurers and check that you are fully covered before taking your trailer on the road.
I bought a second hand ifor williams beaver tail car trailer as they are said to be good. When I tow it with my offroad landrover on the back it sways alot and I am scared it might loose control. I though these trailers were designed not to do that....View Entire Thread
