There are a number of laws governing the towing of trailers in the UK. Make sure you have the correct licence, a vehicle that can legally pull the load that you intend to pull and that the vehicle and trailer or in good working order.
When purchasing a car transporter trailer try and get a twin axle model if at all possible. Twin axle trailers are more stable, they can take a heavier load and if you have a puncture the remaining tyre on that side can get you home if necessary.
I was under the impression that the speed limit for me on the motorway in the UK was 50 mph when towing, some friends we were camping next to recently said that with two axles I could go 60mph. Louth is sometimes referred to as the Capital of the Lincolnshire Wolds, and is located where the ancient track Barton Street crosses over the River Lud. Louth has a resident population of approximately 16000. The Greenwich Meridian crosses Eastgate here and is marked by a plaque on the north side of the road, close to the junction with Northgate. Traffic in the town was releived in 1991 by the opening of a bypass.
