When towing with a normal passenger car in the UK the maximum permissible width for a trailer is 2.3 meters. However, the load attached to the trailer can overhang the sides by up to 30cm on each side giving a total width of 2.9m.
The best way to avoid a very heavy trailer from snaking is to load it correctly. Make sure that the weight is toward the front and there is little or no rear overhang.

Lutterworth is located on the A426 Leicester to Rugby road, next to the M1 junction 20. Lutterworth is located only a few miles from the M6 motorway and the A5 A-road. The town used to have a railway station however since it was closed the nearest railway station is now at Rugby. A bypass, the A4303, was opened in the late 90s providing a route for traffic from the M1 to the A5 to avoid Lutterworth town centre.
