The maximum speed you can travel on UK motorway or dual carriageway with a trailer is 60mph. This assumes that there are no road works or other speed limits in force (i.e. 30mph restrictions), the fastest you travel on single carriageway is 50mph.
Many small recovery vehicles are just converted flat bed vans. If you intend to buy one, make sure the conversion has been undertaken professionaly and the suspension and brakes have been upgraded appropriately.
Ok, head gasket appears to have gone on my 1.8 Mondeo. The car is a 2002 petrol model. I have undone the exhaust manifold but I simply cannot see where all the Inlet manifold bolts are, or reach them with a spanner.
