Make sure that the winch cable and hook are in good condition and NEVER winch a car onto a trailer unless the winch has a sturdy ratchet system. If the ratchet system does not work and you let go of the handle DO NOT attempt to grab it!
If you intend to use your car transporter trailer to move a large number of different vehicles, pay attention to the loading angle of the ramps. Trailers with short ramps or a steep load angle will make it difficult to drive some cars onto the trailer.
Had a fright today when I got back from a long run in the Sprinter 308d. Turned the key off in the ignition and it just kept running! Of course its a diesel so once it is running they will just keep going until they run out of fuel or have the fuel supply cut off. What could be causing this?...View Entire Thread
If you have broken down and do not have AA or RAC breakdown cover then simply select your town or county and you will be provided with a list of Recovery Operators in your area. Even better, write down a few numbers and keep them safe in your cars glovebox in case of an emergency!
