When unloading a car from a car trailer be extremely carefull. Make sure there is nobody standing behind the trailer and do not simply assume that the brakes or winch will hold firm.
If you are using a passenger car with a GVW of less than 3.5 Tonnes then the maximum length of the trailer you can tow is 7m excluding the coupling a drawbar. You are unlikely to exceed this except in the most unusual circumstances.
The overrun brakes fitted to my caravan seem to work OK, when I brake I can feel they are having an effect and pulling the car back as they should. Peterborough has good transport connections as it is on the main A1 motorway which starts in London and goes all the way up towards Scotland.
