When you combine the weight of the trailer and the vehicle upon it you will understand that car transporter tyres need to run at a higher pressure than standard car tyres. The tyres are normally commercial grade tyres running at up to 60 psi.
You do not necessarily require a very large electric winch to recover cars onto your transporter. Smaller 4x4 style winches will do the job but be aware that the drum speed may be much slower than that of a larger winch.
My trailer constantly suffers from problems with the lights. The bulbs are either really dim or they don't work at all. When I remove the lense covers I can see corrosion on all the metal bits. I clean them up with sand paper but it doesn't last long. Should I seal the lenses on?...View Entire Thread
