Make sure that the winch cable and hook are in good condition and NEVER winch a car onto a trailer unless the winch has a sturdy ratchet system. If the ratchet system does not work and you let go of the handle DO NOT attempt to grab it!
The stated kerb weight of a vehicle often allows for a driver and a tank of fuel. Therefore the actual weight of the car on your trailer may be quite a bit less than the stated kerb weight.

Lauder is a Scottish town in the Scottish Borders region. Situated in the South East of Scotland Lauder has a population of around 1500 although this should increase as new homes are being built in the town.
