Try to choose a car transporter that has ramps that load underneath the load bed, ideally sliding in from the rear of the transporter. This keeps the ramps out of the way and secure.
If you are loading a low car onto a trailer it may help if you lift the front of the trailer with the jockey wheel. This will lower the rear of the trailer and reduce the angle of the ramps making the spoiler and bottom of the car less likely to catch.
The LCD display on my transporter 2.5 tdi is flashing SERVICE. I have looked in the handbook and it says it means that I have covered a certain mileage and should book it in for a service at Volkswagen! Its an old truck and I change my own oil etc, how can I reset this indicator?...View Entire Thread
Have you purchased a car that is some distance from you? Is the car a non runner, perhaps a project? If so then you can arrange for the car to be collected and delivered to your door by using a professional car delivery company. Write down the contact numbers for a few of the firms listed and give them a ring to see how their quotes compare!
The market town of Sandbach is in the unitary authority of Cheshire East and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. The civil parish contains four settlements; Sandbach itself, Elworth, Ettiley Heath and Wheelock. Sandbach is probably best known as the home of both Foden and ERF lorries, both companies founded by members of the Foden family. Neither company now exists in Sandbach, having been taken over and production moved elsewhere. As of 2007 there is no trace of Fodens within Sandbach, with the former mansion home of the Foden family at Westfields being demolished to make way for a new council building. However, Foden's Brass Band, originally created for employees and now renamed Foden's Richardson Brass Band, is still based in Sandbach.
