When towing with a normal passenger car in the UK the maximum permissible width for a trailer is 2.3 meters. However, the load attached to the trailer can overhang the sides by up to 30cm on each side giving a total width of 2.9m.
When unloading a car from a car trailer be extremely carefull. Make sure there is nobody standing behind the trailer and do not simply assume that the brakes or winch will hold firm.

My trailer constantly suffers from problems with the lights. The bulbs are either really dim or they don't work at all. When I remove the lense covers I can see corrosion on all the metal bits.
