Loading broken down cars onto a trailer or truck can be very dangerous. Ensure that all the equipment, ramps, winch, handbrake etc is in tip top condition and keep children and small furry animals away.
Is your winch broken or unserviceable? If so do not panic. You can use ratchet straps to pull the car a few inches at a time up onto your load bed. Use two straps and alternate between them.
The local motor factors sells a product called Bat-Aid which claims to restore your car battery. Sounds a bit like snake oil to me but I am tempted to try it as a new battery for my diesel 2.5 Range Rover is expensive! Has anybody tried it with positive results....View Entire Thread
