Make sure that the winch cable and hook are in good condition and NEVER winch a car onto a trailer unless the winch has a sturdy ratchet system. If the ratchet system does not work and you let go of the handle DO NOT attempt to grab it!
Is your winch broken or unserviceable? If so do not panic. You can use ratchet straps to pull the car a few inches at a time up onto your load bed. Use two straps and alternate between them.
Llanymynech is a village which straddles the England - Wales border. Welshpool can be found a few miles to the south. The border cuts the town in two, and in fact runs right through one pub, The Lion. This leads to an interesting fact. In Wales pubs could not open on a Sunday, in England they could. This led to one of the bars in the pub being closed on a Sunday as it was on the welsh side whilst the rest of the pub remained open as it was on the Engish side. The Lion pub is now closed down.
