If you are using a passenger car with a GVW of less than 3.5 Tonnes then the maximum length of the trailer you can tow is 7m excluding the coupling a drawbar. You are unlikely to exceed this except in the most unusual circumstances.
It is always important to check tyre pressures, but this becomes even more important with trailers. Low tyre pressures can make a trailer far more likely to weave and snake at lower speeds, check your pressures with a tyre pressure guage.

I have recently seen several very large boats being towed by 4x4 on the UK's motorway network. To me they looked too big for a normal car to tow. One was on a boat trailer with three axles!
