Set in Norfolk close to the border with Suffolk, Diss nestles in the valley of the River Waveney. It is thought that Diss derives its name from the Saxon for Lake, as the town is built around a mere lake. Diss has a significant number of buildings of historic interest including a 14th century church. The town benefits from being on the Great Eastern Line which runs from London to Norwich.
