Traffic on a motorway is travelling very fast. If you need to return to the motorway from the hard shoulder, use the hard shoulder to gain speed until you are travelling fast enough to merge with the Motorway traffic.
Check your fluid levels regularily to help avoid unwanted breakdowns. For example, a low coolant level could indicate a leak or other problem with your cooling system which may lead to your engine overheating!
